WE'RE ALL INTERCONNECTED.
For far too long, we’ve been told that all politics is local. While local communities need to be in charge of their own decision making, it’s equally true that who is elected in other districts and states affects not only their own residents, but everyone in the United States. Our success as a nation depends on us standing up for democracy in all states
MONEY HAS NO PLACE IN POLITICS.
Elections are being flooded with dark money, giving the advantage to candidates beholden to far-right-wing donors. We can fight back by mobilizing large numbers of well-organized, highly effective volunteers. We help candidates stretch their resources and allow them to spend more time on what really matters: connecting with voters.
STATE LEGISLATURES MATTER
For far too long, Democrats have ignored state legislatures while Republicans pursued a well-funded strategy to take them over. Republicans now have a majority in 61 of the nation’s 99 state legislative chambers and full control of the governorship and both chambers in 22 states. This has led to extreme partisan gerrymandering, voter suppression, and minority rule. It also puts us at risk of a Constitutional Convention that could lead to restricting our rights and undermining our democracy.
